As an active member of the Mobile County Education Support Professionals, my primary goal is to prioritize both our students and our members. My commitment to advocacy is unwavering, especially when members are not receiving what they have rightfully earned. I believe members can perform at their best only when they are given the support, respect, and resources they deserve.

I make it a priority to seek out important information without waiting to be asked. My attention to detail allows me to provide meaningful support and dependable service to our members and the people we serve.

My compassion for others comes from personal experience. I know what it means to struggle, experience loss, live with unmet needs, and still aspire to build a better life - not only for myself, but also for my family and growing children.

Despite my education, dedication, experience, and accomplishments, I have experienced what it feels like to be denied a fair opportunity. That is why I firmly believe everyone deserves fair treatment and due process, one of the most important protections our union provides. Do not wait until a problem arises to become a member. By then, it may be too late - much like trying to purchase insurance after an accident.

We do ourselves and others a disservice when we pretend bias does not exist. I am committed to breaking down barriers and restoring to others what was once denied to me: fairness, opportunity, dignity, and hope. I am living proof that goodness in humanity endures, regardless of who we are, what we look like, where we worship, or whom we love.

I promise to share a smile that may brighten your day, because sometimes it may be the only one you receive. You will also find a passionate advocate in me, because challenges will continue to arise, and no one should have to face them alone.

I invite you to join the Mobile County Education Support Professionals. Every support staff educator who does not hold a teaching certificate is welcome. Come grow with us. Start here, become the change you wish to see, and make a difference in your life and in the lives of the children we serve.

"The best within us is not gone until we leave this earth. This is what I choose to leave behind: You will always receive the best of me. I pray that others will try to do the same, so goodness will endure - even if only for a lifetime. Pay it forward. Pass it on. The best of you is yet to come."
